The CHA Center for Professional and Academic Development hosts an annual Academic Poster Session for colleagues to share academic accomplishments.

The CHA Center for Professional and Academic Development will host the 2019 CHA Academic Poster Session on Thursday, May 2nd from 5:30pm-7:30pm in the Learning Center in the Healy Ambulatory Building at Cambridge Hospital. This is a great opportunity to share accomplishments and meaningful conversation with colleagues from a variety of disciplines. Trainees are especially encouraged to submit.  

This year our selection committee will limit the number of accepted posters to 60. There will be an additional selection process to identify outstanding posters in each category which will confer the opportunity to give a brief oral presentation of the work.  


Below are three suggested abstract templates. Please be aware there is a 250 max word count limit.

Health Professions Education, Community Health/Health Policy, Clinical Research

  • Introduction (very brief background and/or statement as to why this work is important)

  • Objectives and/or Hypothesis (clearly stated and brief)

  • Methods/Materials (description of study or intervention, include statistical methods used)

  • Results

  • Discussion/Recommendations

Quality/Systems Improvement

  • Background and scope (size and significance of problem)

  • Description of the problem in context at CHA (quantitative data, qualitative data including process mapping and interviews)

  • Change ideas and implementation

  • Results/outcomes (demonstrated change in performance metrics over time)

  • Implications/ lessons learned/ plan for scale up and spread and sustainability

You must submit your work by Wednesday, February 27th. You will be notified of acceptance by Thursday, March 14th.
