The CHA Center for Professional and Academic Development (CPAD) has the capacity to serve as an educational resource to sites, teams or other work groups.  We are happy to help you design and/or facilitate educational sessions (e.g. retreats, workshops) that will advance the work that you do and the mission of the institution. We also have limited funds to help support the costs of such events, including food, space, and/or speakers.

Examples of activities we have supported in the recent past include:

  • Team and community building events

  • Education and improvement innovations design and evaluation

  • Academic promotion process

  • Grant applications

  • IRB approval process

  • Wellbeing and renewal

  • Leadership development

Because of limited funds, we will prioritize programs that are interdepartmental, interdisciplinary and connect strongly to high priority areas for CHA.

In order to accommodate requests fairly and efficiently, the Center for Professional and Academic Development will hold a quarterly call for proposals.  Proposals (see below) will be due January 18 (extended deadline for January 2019), April 1, July 1, and October 1. Funds must be used within the given fiscal year. All members of the of the medical staff and other credentialed providers are eligible to apply, but programming can include non-medical staff participants including learners.
