Margaret Buckley

Clinical Specialist Emergency Nursing

Margaret Buckley is a Master prepared Registered Nurse board certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Adult Health. She has dedicated her career to improving the nursing care provided to the patients and families that comprise the CHA community. During her 37 year tenure, she has held positions in the Medical Surgical, Intensive Care, and Post Anesthesia Care Units and the past 16 years in the Nursing Professional Development Department as a CNS for critical care specialties. Margaret has had the opportunity to attend several quality improvement educational sessions and participated in numerous quality and safety initiatives to measure and respond to quality metrics, safety events and regulatory accreditation surveys including DPH, CMS and JC. Her career goals include continuing to provide professional development for the nurses at CHA so the staff can realize their optimal potential and patients may experience the highest quality of evidence based nursing care they deserve; advancing the culture of safety at CHA, and recruiting and preparing the next generation of nurses at CHA. As a CNS, she is well positioned to introduce, educate, implement, and evaluate her improvement project.
