 Molly Holmes

I am a new addition to the CHA family, and I have spent the past six months diving headlong and joyfully into this organization. I am the Nurse Manager for the Ambulatory Women’s Health sites, including Cambridge Hospital, the Birth Center, East Cambridge, Somerville, and Revere. This role includes staff oversight and development, hiring, payroll, regulatory and compliance work, clinical expertise, patient relations, and a wonderfully generous helping of project work and process improvement.

I come to CHA from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where I cut my teeth as a nurse, and worked from 2009 until this past year. My career took me from Intensive Care to Labor and Delivery, the OR as a team lead/clinician, and then to management in the ambulatory women’s health setting.

I hold a BA in Biology from Hiram College and a BSN from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, where I continue my education. I am currently in the home stretch of a Masters in Nursing Science, focused in Leadership and Informatics. I previously completed 30 credits of an MBA from Penn State University, before the discovery of nursing and my true niche.

I am passionate about my field and my career. The patients and this organization brought me to Boston, and I haven’t looked back. I adore this population and the mission of CHA…the opportunity to have meaningful impact on a rainbow spectrum of lives. If I can facilitate smoother, smarter, more comprehensive and compassionate care, then my work is worth every headache, heartache, and sleepless night I’ve sustained over the years. I believe in health care as a human right, nursing as a crucial profession, the importance of comprehensive women’s health, and our obligation to serve the community.
