Academic Recognition

  • Harvard Medical School (HMS) Awards

    • The Excellence in Mentoring Awards includes the William Silen Lifetime Achievement in Mentoring Award (20 years of service at HMS/HSDM which does not need to be continuous), the A. Clifford Barger Excellence in Mentoring Award (no required minimum years of service at HMS/HSDM) and the Young Mentor Award (faculty rank of Instructor through Associate Professor is required and no more than 10 years of service at HMS/HSDM.

    • The Teaching Awards present at the Daniel D. Federman Teaching Award Celebration are HMS's most visible recognition of the teaching accomplishments of a highly select group of HMS leading medical educators, and reflect how much teachers are valued by their students and by HMS.

      • The Sandra and Arnold Gold Award for Humanistic Teaching is presented annually at the Daniel D. Federman Teaching Awards to an inspirational HMS faculty educator at Cambridge Health Alliance who models compassion, integrity, respect and service in teaching Harvard Medical School students, residents, fellows or peers.

    • The Dean’s Community Service Award was established in 1999 to recognize individuals whose dedication and commitment to community service have made a positive impact on the local, national, or international community.

  • Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) Awards

    • TUSM Faculty Awards & Recognition: TUSM Faculty teaching contributions are recognized and celebrated through award programs including the CAP Award, the Distinguished Faculty Award, the IDEAs Award, the LEAD Scholars Program, the Mark Aisner, MD Award, the Natalie V. Zucker Research Grant, the Outstanding Core Clerkship Director, Tisch & Tufts School of Medicine CSL Faculty Award and the Zucker Clinical Teaching Prizes.
